Trocellen GmbH will open a new factory in Caponago, northern Italy, to answer the demand for their ProGame shock pads.
The use of shock pads in artificial grass sports fields has become the norm in recent years. According to World Rugby it is even impossible for an artificial grass rugby field to be HIC compliant without a shockpad.
Shock pads are also commonly used for artificial grass fields used for football and hockey.
With their ProGame Shock Pad series having experienced another record breaking year, Trocellen decided to open a new factory to provide additional capacity. The production facility, which is in Caponago, in northern Italy, is providing extra capacity for Europe and will support the growth of ProGame shock pad being easily available around the world.
The plant in Italy is the third Trocellen plant able to produce ProGame shock pads. The company also has plants in Germany and Malaysia. According to a company statement ‘deliveries are set to start immediately’.
‘This new factory is a very exciting development for ProGame not just in the growing European market but globally. The new factory will provide us with extra capacity and allows ProGame to continue to support projects with excellent supply timelines around the world and reflects the demand for high quality shock pads,’ said Luca Girelli, ProGame Business Unit Manager.
