The Chief Minister of Sports of Haryana Province in India has announced that the department will hire 254 groundsmen and 203 watchmen-cum-gardeners for their sports facilities.
The appointees will be employed at sports stadiums in Panchkula, Faridabad and Rohtak, 21 district sports complexes, 25 sub-divisional stadiums, 163 Rajiv Gandhi rural sports complexes and 245 small-scale sports complexes in the state.
The minister states that there is no shortage of funds for the sports department.
He has directed officers to ensure all kind of sports facilities encourage sportspersons to enhance their performance at national and international level sports events.
During a meeting, the Chief Minister said that the maintenance of sports infrastructure is as important as the stadium for the players. The department is making concrete efforts to provide sports facilities and excellent sports infrastructure to budding players, according to the nature of the game.
