Due to ongoing maintenance work at the National Sports Stadium, the Zimbabwean league organisers have decided to suspend all football league matches until 1 July. Eight teams call the venue home.
In addition to the maintenance work on water reticulation at the venue, the premier soccer league of Zimbabwe has also decided to pause the season to allow the grass at the stadium to sprout.
By implementing a three-week break, the PSL believes it will give sufficient time for the completion of other stadiums which are currently under renovation. This includes venues in Nyamhunga and Rufaro.
