VFF is currently building a training centre that, once finished, will consist of two natural turf surfaces, a hybrid field that is specifically designed for exercises and keeper training, as well as two synthetic turf fields. The latter are supposedly going to be finished with a non-fill surface. The centre is designed in such a way that a sixth field can be added, should the need arise.
The fields will use a system that connects all training pitches in a single circuit that collects, stores, redistributes and recycles rainwater, while converting the water flow into energy. Once finished, it will make the club self-sufficient in water.

Together with its suppliers, the club will now establish a laboratory with a showroom of the technology behind the system at its training centre, where new solutions will also be tested.
“An offensive and innovative mindset is part of our DNA as a club. The mindset applies both on and off the court. Co-Lab FC gives us the opportunity to create a national showcase together with the most talented players on the market, where we develop, test and show the circularity of the future. In this way, together we can inspire people to think and act differently in the future, and we look forward to inviting even more players on board,” said Kim Nielsen, Chairman of the Board of Viborg FF, explaining the move by the club.
The Co-lab FC showroom is expected to be inaugurated during 2027.
