Anybody involved in the watering of sports turf, is invited to a series of webinars that will address the increasingly important operational and strategic issue regarding the availability of water.
This first webinar in the Leisure Operator Water Charter 2026/27 series will be hosted on 6 October lunchtime and will provide an overview of the changing water resources landscape and what it could mean for operators over the coming years.
The session will consider the current water resources position following the pressures experienced during 2026, together with developments in Environment Agency regulation and abstraction licensing, water company planning and the latest National Framework for Water Resources.
The webinar will look at the direction of travel for water availability, abstraction and mains water supply, the potential implications for leisure and sports-turf facilities, and why operators should increasingly be considering water resilience as part of their long-term business and asset planning.
It will also introduce the subsequent sessions in the Water Charter series, which will explore practical approaches to understanding existing water supplies, identifying alternative sources, capturing and storing water, improving irrigation efficiency and developing a long-term water resilience strategy.
The session is intended for Leisure Operator Water Charter adopters and others responsible for water, facilities, estates, sustainability and sports-turf management.
