A change in the Tax Code will exempt Uzbek football clubs, the national FA and the league from paying VAT as well as all types of taxes. This also applies to sports equipment, including synthetic turf components.

By signing off the updated Article 483 of the Tax Code, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has now exempted football clubs, the UFA and PFL, but also players and professionals recruited from abroad, from paying income tax or VAT on certain products.

Products included are: sports equipment and inventory, equipment necessary for broadcasting, sports food, artificial grass for football (futsal) fields, shockpads, granules, special glues and special professional sports clothing, and vehicles, including special vehicles.

The change will come into effect as soon as the update has been officially published.
