Sports Kenya, the body tasked with developing and maintaining sports facilities in Kenya, invites tenders for the refurbishment, rehabilitation and upgrade of three stadium fields.
The project is part of a plan to refurbish the stadiums in their entirety in a bid to have all venues meet FIFA/CAF standards.
The move comes in the wake of the realisation that local clubs might be forced to host continental games abroad in the absence of any venue in the country meeting FIFA/CAF requirements.
According to the tender documents, the fields of Nyayo National Stadium, Moi International Sports Centre and Kipchoge Keino Stadium are all to be covered by synthetic turf.
The closing date is 17 August 2023. Tender documentation can be found here.
