Are you passionate about delivering world-class sports facilities? Join our team as a Sports Grounds Manager and play a key role in providing world-class sports pitches across the campus.

This position is full time, open ended.

As the Sports Grounds Manager, you will lead and manage the Sports grounds section of Estates and Facilities Management (E & FM). Your primary responsibility will be to deliver and maintain world-class university sports ground facilities, in line with our strategic aims. Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, you will oversee a dedicated team, collaborating closely with National Governing bodies.

In this role, your tasks and responsibilities will include:

Manage and maintain the highest standard of sports facilities across our campus.
Develop innovative practices to enhance our sports grounds.
Support our Sport and collaborate with National Governing Bodies to ensure the highest standard of sports facilities across our campus for elite and student athletes.
Ensure effective management of the sports ground team.

The successful candidate is expected to have:

  • Proven experience in managing and maintaining sports facilities.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Passion for delivering exceptional sports facilities.
  • Knowledge of sustainable practices in sportsgrounds management is desirable.

Interviews to be held: W/C 11 March 2024.

The interview will consist of two parts, a 30–40-minute technical interview with key sports colleagues and a 45–60-minute interview which is the main one.
