Shaw Sports Turf adopts new logo tufting technology

Logos in synthetic turf fields from Shaw Sports Turf will now be tufted into the carpet. By adopting the new technology called Game ON, Shaw Sports Turf moves away from cutting the logos out in another carpet before gluing them in the field.

The new approach will reduce the risk of seams working loose and the field becoming a hazard to the players. It will be applied for lines, numbers, hash marks, and logos.

According to Shaw Sports Turf, Game ON eliminates this concern, making maintenance easier, as well as elevating the overall performance of the field with fewer cuts over the area. It also allows for enhanced design capabilities, increased branding opportunities, and a higher level of performance. Large logos, watermarks, and mow patterns are all possible and give any school the ability to really showcase its brand in a whole new way.

The technology is available in 23 standard colours, including six greens divided into two recommended families of choices for mow patterns and watermarks. Custom colours are available on special order.

“With Game ON, every school has the opportunity to create something that is a true differentiator. When this was presented to me, I was so excited to see what we could do,” says Kyle Newton, Superintendent of Warren Local School District.

Chuck McClurg, Executive Vice President of Shaw Turf states, “We’ve spent considerable time listening to customer needs, carefully assessing market requirements, and examining additional opportunities for our products. Thanks to this deliberate development process, Game ON delivers a high-quality product designed with multiple benefits that give schools that extra ability of self-expression.”
