AstroTurf Corporation has appointed Todd DeWolfe as Vice President of Business Development & Research. In this role, DeWolfe will be developing products, strategic initiatives, and activities aimed towards keeping AstroTurf the leader of the synthetic turf industry.
A graduate of Central Michigan University’s Recreational Facility Management program, DeWolfe spent time working for businesses that built sports facilities before entering the turf industry in 1998. He was employed by ProGrass as Vice President of Sales and Development until the company’s acquisition by the AstroTurf Corporation. DeWolfe’s twenty plus years in the sports surfacing industry, his time in sports construction, and his work in his family’s excavation business have all worked together to make him uniquely qualified for his new role with AstroTurf, the company claims.
“Todd has earned this opportunity to take a larger role in the development of our products and advancement of our corporate objectives. His passion for the technical side of synthetic turf is equal to his drive to compete and make our team successful,” says Rich Jordan, Executive Vice President of AstroTurf Corporation
DeWolfe also serves as the liaison to the University of Tennessee and AstroTurf’s joint venture in improving the biomechanical quality and scientific testing of synthetic turf fields. The company believes he will be instrumental in furthering the relationship with UT and the company’s commitment to creating safe, long-lasting, and high-performing athletic fields. DeWolfe will continue to work with AstroTurf clients and help establish strategic partnerships. He also currently represents AstroTurf on the Board of Directors for the Synthetic Turf Council.
