More synthetic turf artisans in Ghana

In a partnership with EduGha Institute for Social Development (EISD), synthetic turf installing company Modern Floors Ghana has trained and certified a second group of female artisans.

According to a press release, participants were taken through a two-week training that addressed topics like installation skills, entrepreneurship skills, management skills, customer relationship management and financial abilities.

Modern Floor is originally from the UK and represents Astroturf in the West-African country.

The  course followed on the success of the introduction of the course in July this year.

Synthetic turf is in high-demand in Ghana. The government and corporate investors are on a drive to improve the quality of many sports facilities by upgrading the surface to synthetic turf.

The national FA has made it mandatory that each synthetic turf football field, meets FIFA requirements.
