Lano eyes Exelgreen

Lano Sports

Rumours that Belgian carpet producer Lano is eyeing French synthetic turf producer Exelgreen have been confirmed by company CEO Joe Lano.

Exelgreen is currently a client of Lano and mainly produces synthetic turf for landscaping.

According to the CEO, Lano is looking for an external financer to finance the acquisition. Lano’s aim is to grow its business as part of its defence against the acquisitions and mergers that are currently dominating the international synthetic turf industry.

Both the Sport & Leisure Group (Domo Sports Grass) and the TenCate Grass Group have changed ownership, while British company Victoria also made major inroads into the synthetic turf industry earlier this year.

Lano synthetic turf products are marketed as Lano Sports. The company offers synthetic turf products for all major sports, all over the world.
