Immingham Golf Club for sale

Immingham Golf Club

Immingham Golf Club has been put up for sale in bid to see it reopened. The golf club closed in November last year. The clubhouse, shop and greenkeeper’s buildings have been included in the sale.
The club had already halved from 18 holes to nine since it closed in November and features a course stretching some 3,023 yards in 56 acres, and features adjoining clubhouse, golf shop and greenkeeper’s buildings.
A par 35 round, Immingham also features an additional 288 yard par four hole, previously used for practice. The club has appointed Savills to guide the sale.
Ian Simpson, director in the leisure and trade related team at Savills, said: “It is unusual for an established golf course such as Immingham to be offered to the market with vacant possession. It provides an opportunity for a range of operators who might not normally be able to acquire a freehold golf club, to consider reopening the course with a fresh operating structure combining a range of affordable golf playing opportunities to the local golfing community.”
Located off Church Lane, the clubhouse offers function facilities a short walk from St Andrew’s Church, ideal for weddings, christenings and wakes. It borders Homestead Park and arable fields, separating the town from the heavy industry of the refineries and associated works.
