Your Role & Responsibilities
• Pitch & Facility Management: Overseeing the quality and maintenance of all training surfaces and matchday pitches, ensuring they meet regulatory, operational and performance requirements.
• Team Leadership: Leading a dedicated team, ensuring high standards of work and inspiring a culture of excellence across the grounds department.
• Strategic Planning & Scheduling: Developing and executing work programs, managing pitch availability and rotation, and ensuring all areas are prepared for matches, training, and events.
• Innovation & Sustainability: Continuously exploring innovative, sustainable methods to enhance pitch quality and environmental practices, ensuring our grounds are at the forefront of the industry
You will:
• Lead the strategic direction and day-to-day management of our grounds and estates.
• Manage the annual budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet event requirements and ensure pitch and facility readiness.
• Provide expert advice on the development of grounds, focusing on sustainable practices, pitch preservation, and overall facility enhancement.
About You
You are a solution-driven professional who:
• Has extensive experience in grounds and estates management, particularly in sports or football environments.
• Demonstrates expertise in managing a variety of surfaces, including hybrid, synthetic, and natural pitches.
• Is skilled in leading teams and motivating staff to meet high standards.
• Has a proven ability to manage budgets, procurement processes, and project planning.
• Has a comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations, safe operating systems, and best practices within grounds management.
