FIFA invite for pitch management service providers

Football governing body FIFA will soon launch a formal RFP process where pitch management service providers can provide input on requirements and best practices, as well as to establish an assessment, monitoring, controlling and reporting system for pitches for all FIFA World Cup competitions.

The period during which interested parties can get involved will run between 1 January 2024 and 31 December 2027 inclusively.

Given the expected high volume of responses, FIFA points out that expressing an interest in participating in the RFP process will not automatically translate into an invitation to participate.

The football governing body will conduct a pre-assessment of all interested parties before deciding on a shortlist of bidders who will be invited to participate in the RFP process.

The process will be carried out by the FIFA Stadium & Infrastructure Management Department. This department is part of the World Cup Division and focuses on pitch management for stadiums and training sites across all FIFA competitions. It also contributes towards ensuring the best possible pitches and conditions for the best players across all FIFA competitions.

Interested parties should register their interest in participating in the RFP process by emailing FIFA at inf@fifa.org by 23:59 CET on Friday, 25 August 2023.
