The football field of Sportplaz Niederschelden in the university city of Siegen in Germany will use EPDM granules as infill.
The field was recently renovated by Edel Grass. After having removed the totally worn off sand-SBR filled system and having shipped the old field to recycling company Re-Match, preparations started for installing the new field.
First the sub-base e-layer was cleaned, repaired and prepared for reuse by Jansen Bau, the partner of Edel Grass in Germany. Once finished a new Edel Topblade NDR carpet was installed on top of the e-layer. Topblade NDR is a 38 mm high carpet that uses sand and green EPDM performance infill.
The environmental friendly EPDM infill type was supplied by Stargum while O&C took care of the installation of the field.
