The DFB has reissued its guidelines on the duty to ensure traffic safety and the safety of football goals. In the brochure, coaches and those responsible will find important information on securing different types of football goals, and it also clarifies liability issues in the event of damage.

The DFB motivates the paper by pointing out that “one in four sports accidents (in Germany) occurs while playing football”. Often, accidents occur because a football goal was not sufficiently secured.

Even a small thing can have serious consequences, lack a lack of anti-tipping systems, protruding screws or incorrect storage.

The updated and revised brochure with many examples, tips for inspection and clarification of liability issues, offers a comprehensive guide to safety on the football pitch.
