The Cymru football foundation appointed test institute to deliver top-quality facilities across the country.
The partnership with Scottish test institute Sports Labs will allow the Cymru football foundation to access their technical insight and experience to support the delivery of high-quality grass and artificial pitches in Cymru’s communities.
More pitches across Wales means more people will get access to play the nation’s most in-demand team sport, supporting physical and mental wellbeing, as well as supporting local communities and economies.
The partnership will also be supporting the CFF’s three key priorities of improving experiences and environments in the game, build stronger and sustainable community-focussed clubs and double the number of women and girls participating in football across Wales.
Aled Lewis, Director at the Cymru football foundation said: “We are thrilled to be launching our partnership with Sports Labs as our Pitch Consultant to support the development of CFF-supported natural and artificial turf pitches. We want more quality pitches, and this partnership will provide valuable support to achieve this, ensuring the best facilities are delivered to improve experiences and accessibility across Cymru.”
Niall MacPhee, Director at Sports Labs said: “We are delighted to be supporting the Cymru football foundation on this journey, which will significantly increase and improve accessible sports facilities in the community. Our teams share a strong commitment to making a positive impact, and we see this as a unique opportunity to establish a solid framework for a sustainable future in sports construction projects.”
