The Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, together with the Spanish Association of Greenkeepers and the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, have launched a volunteer programme for the preparation of the Acciona Open in Spain.
The volunteers will carry out maintenance and preparation tasks on the course during the week of the tournament, which will be coordinated by the CCVM maintenance team. This team is headed by Head Greenkeeper Mr Javier Villasante. He will have the support of the AEdG and the RFEG through this volunteer programme.
The programme will subsidise travel, accommodation, uniforms and meals for four volunteers chosen from among all the interested parties who apply. Volunteers are expected to be:
– an active member of the AEdG
– available to collaborate in the preparation of the course throughout the week of the tournament, from September 23 to September 29, including all of those days.
The deadline for submitting and sending the documentation ends on September 2. At the end of the tournament, each volunteer will be given a certificate, signed by the Presidents of the AEdG and RFEG, which will accredit their participation as a volunteer in the event.
