Act Global founder John Baize reacquires company

Act Global founder John Baize has completed an asset purchase of Act Global from Beaulieu International Group. The company he established in 2004 was sold to Beaulieu International Group in 2022.

“I am very excited to lead the re-purchase of Act Global. We’ve been blessed with the opportunity to impact communities and players in over 90 countries during the past 21 years. Thank you to our customers, partners, and staff for your support, and we look forward to our mission of driving safety and performance through our range of turf systems,”  Baize said in a statement.

Baize founded Act Global more than two decades ago. The company provided synthetic turf systems for sports, landscape, aviation, and landfill applications. Under his leadership, Act Global became a FIFA Quality Licensee and earned certifications with World Rugby, FIH, and ISO 9001, while completing installations in more than 90 countries.

“This reacquisition brings Act Global back to its roots,” Baize added. “Our focus will remain on innovation, performance, and global partnerships, continuing to serve communities and industries that rely on safe, sustainable, high-quality synthetic turf solutions.”

The acquisition restores Act Global as an independently owned and operated company based in Austin, Texas.

The reacquisition follows the news that another international player, Belgotex, is experiencing hard times. Belgotex owns 21% of the shares in Beaulieu International Group. Sportsfields.info discussed this in this article.
